Silvery blonde hair tumbled down her shoulders as her hair scrunchy let up and fell onto the muddy ground. She left it there, no way was she going to put a bunch of bugs and dirt into her hair. Ami wasn't all prissy princess but she didn't like mud in her just done hair, any girl would be just the same. Hands in pockets Ami trudged on into the forest, she was looking for some sort of inspiration for her writing or sketching. Instead of her usual attire she was wearing a black hoodie, a pair of skinny jeans and converse. Everything she was wearing was old, she always used them in the forest or somewhere where she was going to get damp and dirty. Giant sea blue eyes peered through the dripping leaves as she pushed them gently out of her way. She had heard of the wolves that roamed around here, and she was told to steer clear and be careful, she was smart so did as she was told. Earlier she had been at The Bistro with her newly met friend, Renata. She had gotten out of there sooner than she would've liked but her quickly changing muse had jumped on the train and told her to get some inspiration, she always listened to it so she went.
Her hands were red and scraped from holding onto tree branches and tree trunks to stop herself from falling. Her shoes were muddy and she was glad they were her old converse instead of her favourite new ones, not that she was vain but... yeah. Hair stuck to her wet face and she maneuvered and jumped down off of a decaying log. It was less rainy here than it was out of cover from the tree's, she loved it out in the wild but it was hard getting around. She finally sat down quietly and leaned her head back against the tree, she was absolutely still and silent, waiting for something to happen.

Akame heard a rustle in the leaves. He brought his head up from the ground and he looked around. He got up and went to where the sound was. First he encountered a log. He leaped up onto it only to see a girl on the other side. She was sitting on the ground. He jst stood there a bit shocked a human was this deep into the forest, but soon he jumped down onto the other side, landing gracefully. He looked at her and then looked around, wondering what she was waiting for. She didn't seem scared or lost to him. He sat down and just looked at her, waiting for her reaction.

Ami's breath caught as she heard light footsteps reacting to her presence. Everyhing ran through her mind at once but she managed to calm down and stop, blanking her mind to anything but instinct. She calculated the weight of the paw steps, definitely pawsteps but heavier than one of a fox or coyote. It wasn't deer for they had hooves and barely made a sound with their dainty movements. So it was pawed, maybe a dog on the other side of the decaying trunk of the tree. But what would a dog be doing out here? Lost? No dogs were too smart than to wander out to the unknown in the rain. So it was a wolf, a wolf she was told to over estimate and fear. But the thing was she didn't feel any sort of fear just a calm peace, even moreso than before.
Time to look, Ami though to herself as she heard a light landing next to her. She turned her giant sky blue eyes into the honey yellow of a wolf's. Her breath came back and was stolen away again by the pure sight of the wolf, untamed and uncut. Wild was flaming and warming in the wolf's eyes and everything about the male was so intense and his face was just so wise and loving but hidden behind a barrier of instinct and a wild hunger. She took a mental picture and stored it in her mind, she had to draw this one, it was just so mystifying. Ami eased herself up off of the ground and didn't break contact with the wolf's eyes. It was will to will now, whoever blinked or looked away was lower in rank and whoever kept and held the other in a powerful gaze was 'Alpha' or Master. Ami was determined to win this, only so she wouldn't get hurt. Those in lower rank never challenged the 'Alpha' so she wouldn't get hurt if she won this. Her gaze intensified and seemed to bore into Akame.

Akame stared at the girl. He didn't break his golden eyes from her blue ones. Suddenly, he heard something and turned his head, alert. He then relized he had lost the fight. He snorted in disgust, but he felt like he couldn't be mad for long around this girl. He could feel her eyes burning into his fur. He looked back at her and slowly padded over to her. He didn't want to scare her, after all she was only human and she didn't look like she had a weapon on her, so he felt safe.

Ami smiled as she had won the battle but maybe not the war. She instantly relaxed and released the tension from every part of her. She watched as he slowly padded over to her, she didn't know what to think but human fear slowly took over her as her senses came back. She backed away from him warily, showing that she wasn't ready for that type of closeness or contact yet, she was just getting her bearings. Her eyes showed her human fear of wild animals and she grappled for a hold so that she wouldn't fall on her butt. She was tensed to run, even though a wolf could easily out run her. Then again she'd been running for the last year... her eyes were down on the ground, she was still slowly backing away when she fell over a gigantic gnarled root and fell backwards into mud, well it was raining so everything was mud but still. She looked up slightly dazed and watched the wolf, she was just a bit stunned but alright, the fear was slightly ebbing and she once again felt calm in the presence of the wolf. Her natural instincts were screaming at her to run away, but she couldn't do it. She was confused.

Akame stopped as he watched her fall down. He laid down on the ground to show her he was was sorry. He didn't move, but he could tell that she was scared when he had gotten close to her. He could practically smell the fear and worry as it came off of her. His ears laid back on his head, a bit in worry he had scared her too much. He didn't want her to go. He felt safe and contained with her around, even if he didn't know her. Sighing, he glanced up, his honey eyes turned to puppy eyes.

Ami calmed her fast breathing and tried to collect herself, she felt out of control, like she was hydro-planing in a car. She looked at the wolf's eyes again and when the turned to the ones of a sorry puppy who had just gotten told off for doing something that he didn't know was wrong, she automatically calmed down. She slid back so that she was sitting down staring and surveying this wolf. He felt like... home... to her and it made her calm down. Home was so very far away and the truth was that she really missed her family, and he made her feel so much better but worse at the same time. She bit her lip as a tear rolled down her cheek, she put her face in her hands and began to cry, not in fear of the wolf but because the wolf was hers. He was home away from home. She cried in joy and in pure sadness, she didn't want to cry but it just happened anyway.

Akame jumped up. He went to the girl and licked her hands, wanting her to feel better. He wasn't sure what she was crying about, but he really hoped it wasn't him. He rubbed his head against her arms and whined a bit. His tail was slightly wagging. He closed his sun shine eyes. His fur was matted with mud and his ears laid back on his heaad in worry. He sat down next to the girl. Don't cry. It's going to be okay. He thought, opening his eyes to look at the girl again.

Ami kept crying and didn't move away from the wolf when it came too close to her, she buried her face in its side. She felt calmer when she breather in the scent of wood and grass and rain. He felt so familiar to her, and she stopped crying. Her face was still buried in his fur when she heard his thought, it startled her but she couldn't be too shocked, everything that had just happened was just so surreal that she wasn't that surprised. I know. You just remind me of home. She thought back to him sadly. She started to feel soaked through and cold, she had been too into the wolf to feel it before, but she started to shiver now. So cold. So cold. She thought to herself not knowing that it would go to the wolf next to her.

Akame practically jumped when he heard her thoughts. He had heard of bonds before, knowing that the alpha of one pack, Jasper, had been in a bond. He didn't know he had found his bond mate and personally he was scared. When he heard that she was cold, he pushed his fur closer to her, hoping to keep her warm. Don't you have to get home? You can get sick out here. he thought, resting his head on her lap. His eyes were clouded with wonder. He wasn't sure if this was a bond or not. He remembered how Jasper had acted when he was far away from his bond mate. He sighed, knowing that could happen to him.

Ami was shocked when he jumped immediately taking her arms off of him. She leaned back against the roots of the towering tree and listened to their heartbeats, thumping together. It was weird, today had started off so normal and now it was all topsy turvy. His fur automatically warmed her, heart and body. Her heart stopped wroking so hard to get her warm so she relaxed further, she stroked his fur, hoping that he didn't mind it. It's not much better there than it is here. she thought back to him tentatively. This was all still weird to her.

Akame seemed not to mind so much. This was so weird. He wondered how far away they could get away until they went crazy. He was pretty sure it couldn't be but a couple of miles, but he wasn't sure. Well what are you doing out here? It's odd seeing a human so out into the forest. he replied, looking at her. I'm Akame, by the way. he added, slightly shivering. He wondered if he could take her back to the cave. It was warm in there, but John was a bit strict about humans ever since the Twins.

She started to get up, her instincts kicking in again, she wasn't sure why she was still out here going to catch a death of the cold if she stayed out here any longer. She walked away from the wolf not looking back but she did think this: I was looking for something to draw. She thought to him still walking away almost gone from his sight. I'm Ami. I'll see you later... eventually She kept walking the rain obscuring her steps away from him. And then she was gone, the rain drowning out her scent and noise.
