Ami looked across the room at a boy her age who had been moping around for quite a while, she had also noticed that the sub for their English class had been as well. Maybe they were related and someone died in their family? No, they were too different to be related. Ami knew Erik as a friend and that was it, she waved at him from across the classroom. It would help him to be around someone he knew, even if she was a girl.
Anna walked into the room five minutes before class started to sit down and stare at the computer screen miserably, now that she was completely alone and desperately depressed.

Erik Night
Erik had come a little late, purposly, though still before the bell. He sat down, and noticed that Ami had come in. He smiled at her as Anna came in. Great. He never even looked at Anna and walked up to Ami. He needed to at least look the opposite of what he felt at the moment.
"Hey Ami. You want to sit beside me? ROb's away so yeah.."
He said, one hand in his pocket, the other waving a little. He tried to seem happy, and he did pull it off pretty well. He smiled at her as best he could. He wouldn't want people to know..

Ami smiled at his somewhat fake smile but it was actually a good one, so she took it and answered his question.
"Sure."
Ami was easy going even though she had run away from her parents, it was all pretty shady and weird right at the moment because the police were still after her. She'd found out this was basically a run away town, judging by everyone who had lived here, crazy wasn't it? That everyone who was kicked out, had ran away or was being trailed by police ended up here? Really Ami didn't get it, maybe because it was an unofficial island. Ami's silvery blonde hair fell down to her waist and was only slightly wavy, she kept up in height with Erik as well.
Anna's eyes narrowed at Erik as he motioned for a girl, Anna knew her as Ami, to sit next to him. Anna bristled, seems like he had gotten over her pretty well, since it had been three weeks. Standing up to make an announcement that she had planned so that Erik and her could be together, Anna almost wanted to forget it and keep teaching but she couldn't.
"As of today you're normal teacher is coming back after her long break. I will no longer be teaching you."
Anna was angry that Erik had gotten over her so fast, but quickly cheered up when Iris M. Smith walked into the classroom. Nodding to her best friend Iris, who had formerly taught at the school before she had gone into a coma, Anna hurried out of the classroom.

Erik Night
Erik sat back, motioning for Ami to join him. He breifly looked over to see Anna's expression change, as she spoke abruptly and then sped form the room. A teacher he had never seen before then walked in. He watched ANna go into the hallway, and had a feeling he knew what was wrong. He needed to go see her. After a few minuits of class, he got up and walked to the front. Erik smiled a little at the teacher and straightened up a bit.
"Could I go to the uh washroom?"
He asked, lookign in the hallway trying to see where ANna had gone. It didn't really matter whether this new teacher knew. Mabe she was a friend of Annas, mabe Anna had told her about them..

Iris nodded to the boy that she had never seen before.
Anna was making her way down the hallway toward the front doors of the school, what a surprise Jasper was there looking joyed that she wasn't with the boy that had been with her before. Anna obviously was happy that he was there too, she sat on the stairs in front of the school doors and laughed as Jasper jumped straight to her lap and put his paws on her shoulders.
"I've missed you, you know."
Anna whispered into his fur as he rested his head on her shoulder with a sigh.

Erik Night
Erik walked down the hallway brisquely, checking all ways to see where she could have gone. He tunred and saw her through the window of the door. He had kept an walking, and opened the door to outside, only to see the wolf looking all jolly before Anna. Great, wonderful. He tenced again, and went to back away a little.
"I can see I'm interuppting something."
He said a littel coldly glaring at the wolf before closing to door ever so slaoly and making his way back to the class. He walked slowly, and he turned to go towards the bathroom.

Jasper tensed and jumped out of Anna's lap as the boy appeared with an icy glare that had Jasper feeling bad about himself. Anna watched Jasper quizzically before hearing Erik's voice, she was quickly on her feet and inside the school just behind Erik in a second.
"What?"
Anna demanded before reaching his side, and trying to keep up with his long strides. Anna leaped forward and stood in front of him, forcing him to stop. She really didn't get it.
"You don't have a problem with me being with Jasper do you?"
Anna crossed her arms over her chest, these boys were going to tear her apart.

Erik heard her follow. He wasn't suprised when she jumped infront of him, making him halt abruptly. Erik watched her as she crossed her arms. So stubborn. He almost wanted to laugh, she was funny. But his face stayed expressionless.
"Even if I did, it's not like I coudl put a stop to it."
He said, his voice let harsh when he was talking to only her. Then, his face softened a little more.
"Why did you leave so quickly? Like from the classroom?"
He said, tha harsh tone still there, but barely. It was edging in his voice, but he didn't want it to shwo completely.

Anna sighed as he didn't let up on her, it was a wonder how they'd been together in the first place. She uncrossed her arms and gave up, if he was just going to be all harsh and all. He had said himself that he didn't want to lose her and now he was pushing her away from him. Not answering his first statement she listened to his second question patiently, but his question made her step close to him and look straight up at his face.
"Do you think I really wanted to let go of you? I said until I stopped subbing, and now I have. But you don't want me anymore, you got over me pretty fast. When did you start liking that Ami?"
She indirectly, partially answered his question.

Erik Night
Erik's expression turned almost hysterical when she spoke of Ami.
"You think I like Ami?"
He said, turning around and placing his hand over his mouth a little. A smile etched it way accros his jaw and he laughed. He threw back his head and laughed. He hadn't done that in months! It felt good to laugh, to be amused. After a few seconds, he looekd back down at her, his face goign slightly serious again. He grasped her shoulders lightly, and all of a sudden felt eager for her touch.
"To start off, I never got over you. I simply invited AMi to sit wiht me to make it look like I did, so I wouldn't hurt you. I don't like er more than a friend. Also, how can you think I have gotten over you? You are the only one I care about, and you think I could get over you that fast?"
He said, a slight smile forming again. He looked towards his right, and realised the class was a few doors down. That teacher woudl have been able to hear him, great. He laughed a little again, watching the door, wondering whether the teacher woudl appear.

Anna's eyes narrowed at his hysterical looking face, she was not in the mood for detours and hysterical laughing in this perfectly non amusing setting. When he grasped her shoulders she almost forgot everything just because of his touch, but didn't give in to herself. Yet she didn't move away either.
"Well that plan back fired didn't it?"
Anna retorted rhetorically, she turned away from him and walked out of the school doors, she didn't want the whole school in on their personal business. Jasper nudged her hand with his muzzle, whining slightly and wagging his tail softly, he didn't like it when she was mad or confused, it wasn't her.

Erik crossed his arms, a cross look on his face. WHen she walked out, he followed, not even glancing towards the wolf. Hr watched her carefully.
"Anna, it's driving slightly insane nto seeing you anymore. And I guess your right, the plan of mine didn't work, but you should have know that I still care for you."
He said, sitting on the stairs and lookign towards the wolf. He looked different, happier. Erik put out his hand timidly for the wolf to sniff, it was shaking slightly.
"Sorry Jasper."
He said, before dropping his hand to his side and lookign up at Anna.

Anna breathed in the clean cool air after being in that stuffy over heated school for so long. She dismissed Erik's latest excuse before sitting down in a cooler corner that was shaded, even though it was Autumn it was still hot from the summer heat wave.
"I know that you still care for me, but do you know that I still care for you?"
Anna accused from her corner, and she was quite right, he had been mad at her, so it wasn't clear to her whether or not he realised that it had torn her up when they had broken up.

He looked up at Anna, a confused look on his face. Had she still cared for him when she left him?
"No."
Was all he said, his eyes trailing towards the ground.
"You broke up with me though. Why? Was it because you where teaching or I was causing too much drama? You ned to help me understand."
He said, lookign confused still. He ran his hand through his blonde hair, as his blue eyes went to her again. This was hard. It was then he realised that he was missign clas,s but he didn't care. So what if he skipped one class, this was important.

Anna knew it, he could accuse and point fingers at her all he wanted but he didn't realise that she still cared for him. Typical boy, right? It was her turn to laugh now, she chuckled quietly as he downcast his eyes.
"Typical boy."
Anna leaned against the wall one foot propping her up while her green eyes sought his out. Jasper had gone, leaving the two alone.
"Because teaching had put too much of a strain on everything, so I quit. But you wouldn't just wait for it could you?"
Her strong little voice reached out to him, willing him to understand.
