Angie pushed the shopping cart, her teenage daughter following behind her, helpng pick out some junk. Seeing the Easter Ores she asked it they could have them, and her mother sighed and said yes. Looking around, Angie grabbed some meat and some dairy products, then grabbed some pizza. She also bought a few movies and well, you know, stuff.

Nate walked around the store, grabbing random items such as chips, veggies nad water, basically stuff to preapre a meal, aside from the chips of course. He sighed as he heard a cart trun into the isle and looked over breifly, then returned his gaze t the shelf, grabbing a can of soup. Nate's gaze then slid back to the pair shoppign. A mother and daughter. He watched the daughter, she looked his age, mabe younger, with short blonde hair. SHe was pretty. He then snapped back, realising that the mother had probably caught him staring. He ran a hand through his brown hair as he brushed past the pair, looking back over his shoulder as he walked into the fruit section..

Angie looked over at the tennage boy, then went back to her bust shopping. She turned to see some cake mixes, and grabbed a few mixes. Grabbing what she needed, she then turned to the dairy section got some milk and eggs. Contining to grab what they needed, Jessica wandered over to the dounut section.

Jessica asked for a big texas dounut, her favorite, then went back over to her mom and help picked out food. She liked the sweet and spicy stuff best, that usually tended to be mexican food and cake. Grabbing a box of soda's she put it in the cart and looked at what else there was that they needed.

Nate smiled to himself when he noticed the mother ignore him. Well, not so akward after all. But then again, the girl his age hadn't even noticed him. After bagigng some fruit, he walked over to the donut section,and smiled at her oce she picked the big texas donut.

"You like the texas donut? I like them too."

He siad, grabbign one and turnign to her.

"My name's Nate, by the way. Can I ask yours?"

He said, smiling once more. The mother wasn't here at the moment, which was good, but whatever, she woudl understand.

Jessica smiled and said My name is Jessica. She hadn't really talked to boys before and so she was a bit shy. But she didn't mind. It was nice meeting a new person and she was glad to be meeting some her age. She looked him over, he appeared to be 18 years of age and that was good. She just hoped that her mother wouldn't notice that she was talking to a boy. Luckily, her mother was busy shopping for food.

Angie continued to grab what she needed and didn't notice the boy talking to her daughter. She was just too busy shopping, for she need fruit too and so she headed that way, grabbing apples and oranges and putting them in the shopping cart. She was of course using her foodstamps, so she had plenty of money.

Nate smiled largely as she spoke.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jessica."

He said happily, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck.

"So, your mom's a pretty busy shopper hey?"

He said laughing a little before goign on.

"My mom was to. Nothign really mattered but the things around the house."

He said, watching her, a charming smile apon his face. He then reached to his right to grab a loaf of bread that was above the donuts.

"Whol wheat, perfect."e

He said, before tunring back towards Jessica.

"So, you lived here for long?"

Jessica nodded at him and said Yea, my mom is a pretty b.usy shopper. Always wanting to make sure everything is perfect, including the stuff I have. I just moved here a few weeks ago, not too long. So yea, I'm new. She picked out a bottle of soda and added it to her list of things to buy. Smiling she looked around, grabbing a few thing here and there. For she knew her mom would be happy if she helped out with the whole shopping thing. So, how long have you lived here? she asked, since she had told him how long she had lived here.

Nate nodded. His mother had been exactly the same. Ah, and she had come a few weeks ago, cool.

"Yeah, I arrived here eight days ago. So, yeah, I'm still getting used to the place."

He said, grabbing a few more things from the shelves.

"So, you want to mabe, hang out sometime, liek mabe go to the movies or something?"

He asked, looking at her with a smil. She was the first person he had really met since he's been here, and he was glad. He looked around, grabbing another can of soup, then looked back at gher.

Sure, that would be nice she said and smiled. Going to the movies would be nice, she needed to get out and away from her horse more because she spent alot of time with her horse. It wouldn't hurt Flicka to be in the pasture for a bit. Having spent endless days outside, she also thought getting on the computer a bit more would be good too. For she liked her horse but wanted some alone time from her horse and more time with other people. So, when would you like to hang out? she asked, for she had ntohing to do really ans was tired of following her mom around all day long.

Nate smiled, as she amswered

"Sweet, and I'm free tonight? I could pick you up at like eight?"

He asked, smiling once more. He hoped her mom wooul dbe finw with her going out with him. Afterall, they didn't need to know his past yet.. right?

"Oh, and, I'll be happy to pay."

He said, winking at her and putting back all the cans of soup he had grabbed.

"Yeah.. I didn't really need these.."

He said, laughing a little. Then, Nate touched her shoudler as he walked to the cashier.

"So, I'll see you tonight then?"

She asked once he had payed for everything.

Sure, sounds good she said and walked back over to her mother. This was cool! She had a date and was really excited! She decided to help her mo with the shopping some more and so she put the things that she had grabbed into the shopping cart and helped her mom grab what ever she needed. After all, if she wanted to go she had to be good. Smiling, she thought I finally have a date! She then walked with her mom to the cashier and her mom paid for the food. After that they began to head out the store.

Nate smiled as he started to leave, lookign over his shoduler and winking at Jessica. He walked out aand opened the trunk of his black Acura TL. He smiled to himself, and he waved to Jessica and her mother as they passed him. He then got into the vehicle, and drove off. He would be counting down until eight, but frist he might need to go and pick up some better attire. Attire? Since when did he think or use old fashoned words like that? Weird. He watched as he drove past them, and turned up the radio.
