It was near midnight when Alex found the place. The forest was quiet blessedly and she was glad she could get away from the hustle and bustle of the courthouse, the streets, her work in general. This didn't happen often but she was having such a short fuse today she had to leave early before she lost her temper. As she walked, she thought about everything that had happened to hre within the week.
Before long though, she found herself lost in thought and than tripping over something. "owww...what the?" the blond prosecutor sighed as she tried to move. "oh crap...." she said aloud she couldn't move at all. Either becuase she was stuck or she had injured herself.

Silverheart was staring at the human through the bushes. Her tan eyes could be seen and her black and white pelt shone in the moonlight. She didn't go anycloser, afraid that she would get hurt, but she didn't run away, as she had noticed the human couldn't get up. Smelling the warm, sticky scent of blood, she shook her head. She didn't like the smell.

Back to normal, if that's what you would call it. Normal for normal people would be sneakers, trousers, shirt and hair let down nicely or tied back neatly. SOmething like that, unless you were in your sunday best or whatever, going to church going out to dinner. Nope, then I wasn't normal, I was back to my normal. What's my normal you ask? My normal is the red curly hair flying around my face and my head, like flames lighting up the night. My normal is the black dress swirling around me blending into the dark of the night. My normal is dancing and laughing... with my buddy by my side.
Seeing a blonde woman fallen to her hands I quickly stopped. Jasper stiffened beside me, he bolted away to hide... or tried. I grabbed him and walked toward the woman. A reluctant jasper behind me. "Are you okay?" I asked quietly, still holding Jasper firmly. Such a stick by the rules he was sometimes, I was the opposite.

Alex was bleeding, a bit she doubted much to the point where she needed to call the police. "i'm...fine..." she said attempting to get up. "So much for a break" she muttered. Turning herself so that she was at least a bit more comfortable than she had been she said. "i'm ADA Cabot, you can call me Alex....and...well i'm stuck" she stated the obvious as she tried to smile. "i'm sorry...I had a long day"

Silverheart saw another wolf and turned her head. She walked around the bush so she could see better. She had her jaws open a little, breathing in the scents of the wolf. She sat there, her tail wagging as she noticed it actually was a wolf, she took a step closer, but remembered the humans and stopped there.

I turned to see Jasper stiffen once again, he'd sensed another wolf. What was Jasper? A wolf himself. A brilliant white wolf. "I'll see if I can help." I flitted to her side, looking for where she'd gotten stuck. A gnarled root above a small ditch had caved in as she'd stood on it. Someone'd need to cut that root out, or dig a big enough hole to slide it out. "Jasper." I called to him, he came to my side and instantly saw the situation. He edged closer to the root and started to try and chew it out. That didn't work so he started to dig close to her leg, trying to uproot it enough for her to slide her foot out. "Good boy Jasper." The only response I got was a growl. He hated being treated like a dog I smiled.

"Thanks" Alex said as she sled out. She realized now that she was bleeding from the cut and from nothing else and nothing was broken just....she had been stuck. She got to her feet and walked towards another tree to lean on it. "this is humiliateing i was takeing a break from the courthouse...didn't think I'd get stuck but than again...I wasn't focused either...I really do owe you"

Silverheart crept closer towards them. She was only a few feet away now. She sniffed the ground, but kept her eyes up at them. She barked once at the other wolf. "Hey, what are you doing with humans?" she asked.

I was surprised. No seriously surprised. Who would've thought someone as logical and sensible and smart as acourthouse lawyer or a police officer, wouldn't mind a wolf right next to them? These were Jaspere's thoughts as well. Jasper barked for the other wolf to come out from where she was. He loved company.... if it wasn't human, obviously the exception to that was me.
Jasper looked at the other wolf and shook his head disbelievingly. "What are you doing without humans?" He questioned back. "Haven't you established your bond yet?"

"A bond?" Silverheart asked, sitting next to him. It was obvious she had lived alone for most of her life and she was barely ever around other wolves. "What's a bond? Whatever it is, I don't have one," she replied.

Jasper barked out a laugh, this wolf was truly hilarious. "Are you kidding? Everyone has a bond... bad news for you wild wolves that hate human kind but, the bond is for a human and a wolf." He expalined carefully while Anna looked down, understanding every word he barked. "Mine is Anna." He shrugged and she reached down to stroke his head, he dodged it and bit her gently. "But that doesn't mean I'm a house pet." He said letting go of her hand.

"She can understand you?" Silverheart asked looking at his human. "Do you live with her or in the wild?" she asked, looking back at the other wolf. She was interested and wanted to know what it was like having a bond.

She watched the interactions between the creatures carefully. She didn't go near either one because she didn't need to sustain another injury but she spoke to the female that was with the wolf. "Your...er....wolf?" she didn't want to call the thing a dog, animals didn't like her to begin with and she did not need to piss one off.
"I don't mind animals...but they don't like me...." she explained. She didn't think wolves were weird, of course you didnt' see them in Manhattan but still.

Silverheart heard the other human speak and looked up at her. She got up and went over to her. She sniffed her hand carefully. She decided the human was safe, and nudged the humans hand up with her muzzel.

Anna looked up at Alex. "Yea, more like I'm his human sometimes though." She laughed her witchy laugh. "Jasper won't hurt... unless he has to which he doesn't." She explained carefully. She didn't want to freak the woman out yet. Or ever but it almost always happened anyway. "So if animals don't like you then how come you've met your wolf?" She asked curiously pointing to SIlverheart.
Jasper looked up at Anna then went back to expalining the bond to Silverheart. "I live in between, sometimes here sometimes with her." Yawning he sat down leaning slightly against Anna. It was comforting sometimes. "Yeah she understands me and I understand her. It's part of the bond."
