Stormy Weather

[Jast]

Jessica looked out her window and at the stormy weather. It seemed to be getting worse, and not better. She wondered when she would get a bond with a wolf, but that seemed like it would be never. Her horses was in the stable, safe from the storm, and the stable was built quite well. She hoped the stable wouldn't collapse in a storm like this, but she also knew it wouldn't because it was like brand new. Turning to her laptop, she got on HorseLand, and then HorseIsle. Lucky for her, her laptop was not a big old computer and only needed to be plugged in while it was charging. She sighed and logged out of the laptop, and pondered on what to do.

Angie noticed her daughter was bored, so she said Want to play Monopoly? She knew that her daughter would do anything horsie, and they had horseoply, so she knew her daughter would play, since it was stormy and her daughter couldn't ride her horse. Quietly, she waited for a responce from Jessica, knowing she would say yes.

Jessica looked at her mom and said Sure. I need something good to do She walked over to the table and picked out a horse as her character. Then she played with her mom and wondered if anybody would come to the door, or if anything interesting would happen.

Charlie, the golden retriever from No.1 Cedar Hill, loped along the street miserably. He was saoking wet and couldn't help anyone. He shook his sodden body and lay down under a tree, sighing he laid his head on his paws with a huff. He was shivering but couldn't stop thinking about his master, no matter what wolves thought he was still her baby. He lifted his ears lethargically, a sound of human voices reaching his poised ears. Heaving himself onto his paws slowly and painfully he started toward the house. The run he had had with the wolf had been pushing it too far, wolves were made to run like that, and Charlie had been a stray since he had grown out of his puppyishness. You had to be able to run to be a stray. All of his muscles had pushed themselves too far, and then stopped abruptly, not good, and the cold had seeped into his joints and his inner body. Limping and hobbling to the door he barked, and barked, and barked, they were prolonged so part howls entered his barking. He'd been around that wolf too long.

Jessica heard the dog barking outside and said I'll be right back mom She walked over to the door and looked down at the poor, soaked dog. Its ok she said and opened the door for the dog to walk in. She wondered why he was outside in the nasty weather, but oh well. Sighing, she waied for the dog to walk intpo the house.

Charlie ceased his bark/howling he cocked his head and looked at the girl in front of him. She looked like she would help him. He sauntered up the stairs, unsteady on his poor joints. With much effort he heaved himself up onto his two front feet, careful not to touch the girl with his muddy paws, humans seemed to hate that. It was bizarre to him, but anyways. He grabbed the sleeve of the hand that was on the doorknob. He was happy with himself, wagging his heavy tail slightly he led her out into the rain whining and wagging his tail at the same time.

Jessica looked at him as he tugged her outside into the rain. She smiled and giggled. She liked the rain. but why did the dog want her outside? It was cold and wet, and she didn't really want to be outside. What do you want? she asked the dog gently, and waited to see if he was going to take her somewhere, or do something.

[Jisa]

Charlie barked and wagged his tail and trotted off onto the road, the road was completely deserted, No.1 and No.2 Cedar hill were the only ones that weren't vacant so it was safe seeing as Iris wasn't going anywhere which was the reason Charlie had come. Leading his way to a bush further down the road, he kept stopping and whining to see if she was keeping up. He stopped at the bush and whined harder pawing at the dirt by it. A female human hand lay limp in the rain, it was still attached to a body, blue with the cold, contrasted by dry red blood on her head.

[Jast]

Jessica followed him and saw the human. Wondering if the person was still alive, she ran off to get her mom and brought her back. What should we do? She asked her mo. She knew she shouldn't leave the person there, so she said Shouldn't we take the person to a hospital or call the police?

Her mom nodded and said Yup. You bring the girl to our house and I will call the police and hospital. her mom ran back off to the house and left Jessica standing there, to carry the girl home on her own.

Jessica dragged the girl to her house an sat outside, waiting for her mom to get back. Sighing, she wondered when this would all be over. She looked up when she saw her mom come out from the house.

They are on their way. They will be here soon. Angie said and sat down by her daughter in the rain. Jessica just nodded and waited by the house.

Rob and I raced as we got a call about a injured women in No.2 Cedar hill, our police car light where flashing and we where speeding but as we got to the house we new we would have to make questions and wait a few more minutes for the ambulance, As we steeped out we saw a woman and a young girl i steed forward and said,"Hello im officer Shanon and this is my partner officer Rob, and we would like to know what happened?".

[Jast]

Jessica looked up at them and said Well, I was playing board game with my mom, when I heard this dog barking at the door. I came outside, and he led my to this girl. I dunno what happen to her, so I came back home with her and told my mom. She called you guys and the ambulance, and so here we are. Thats I know, so yea. She patted the dog and waited to see what everyone would do. She had told the truth and hoped that this girl was still alive. Sitting down on the ground, she sighed and looked around.

Iris stirred slightly, coughing up water that had poured into her mouth while it rained. Charlie whined and looked at her, his tail started to thump the floor quietly. He smiled up at Jessica and then sauntered over to Iris and curled up next to her body which was still lying on the floor uncared for when she should be in a hospital or in care of someone at the moment. Charlie licked her hands and face, trying to get her to be warmer and less wet.

I wrote down what the girl said wondering what things might have happend to this women,"Uhum and thats all you know, okay and i think i haer the ambulance whne they get heare we will hear what the injuries are and wright them down and escort them to tyhe hospital..thanck you for the info" then Rob added with a wave of his arm"We wil be back for more questions"

We raced to a house knowing a woman was hurt me and my buddy jim raced out the ambulance with a strecher, As we ran into the house we saw first thing the women on the floor and ran to her, working as a team,"Hello im Tom, and this is Jim, we notice taht she has a fracture on her head and she has been out on the cold weather" We start to strap her to the strecher and take her back to the ambulance.

Jessica and her mom nod and wait for them to take Iris away to the hospital. Jessica goes back into the house and sits by the tv, watching her faovrite shows because she was bored. Sighing, she got up and got a snack, then sat down on the couch and wonders what is next.

Angie waits outside, waiting for the ambulance to leave. She waits and looks around, wondering when they would leave, for all they had done was found Iris, not hurt her.

Jim and I took the woman who was named Iris M. Smith to the hospital and thanks to the police escort we got there even faster then usual ..she did have serious injury and a low temperature, but we kept her stable till there.
